Continuous Professional Development Programme (CPD)
As part of implementation of the East African Common Market Protocol, the East African Securities Regulatory Authorities (EASRA) has adopted the requirement that intermediaries intending to provide services in East African capital markets must attend and pass the certification program recognized globally. EASRA members agreed to customise their respective programs and conduct joint certification program with the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI), of London United Kingdom. CISI is one of the largest and most widely respected professional bodies providing training to professionals working in the capital markets industry worldwide.
The objective of conducting this program is to ensure that intermediaries and professionals in the capital markets are conversant with relevant issues in the industry including structuring of transactions for public offers and eventual listing of companies on the Dar Es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE).
